Feng Shui is about how every event and experience in your life is a direct reflection of your environment, and the one that slapped me in the face, or more exactly whip lashed my neck was a car wreck.  Yikes!!!  I am a Classical Feng Shui expert, and I should have paid more attention, and given myself more protection when I was clearly at high risk with absolutely no protection.

This is the real Feng Shui:  What are your risks?  How strong are they?  How does timing factor in?   Are there any factors that could activate, or increase your risks?  What cures could you put in place to minimize your risks?

I was rear-ended last week while traveling out of town on the major highway through Austin, Texas.  It was a Friday afternoon at peak traffic, and my car was totaled, crunched between two Ford F250s.  Fortunately, I was fine.  My car was not.

In retrospect, as a Classical Feng Shui expert I should have paid more attention to my influences, given myself more protection, and possibly could have avoided the wreck.

Feng Shui Wreck Analysis

These are Feng Shui influences that caused my car wreck.

• A car wreck is the energy of clashing metal on metal
• This month, August 10 – September 7, two metal energies (numbers) combine in the west, metal hitting metal
• I park my car in the west of my house, so that alone is activating this energy
• I forgot to remove a water fountain outside in the west that was a cure for the previous month.  The water fountain also activated the wreck.
• The wreck occurred on August 9, and I had checked the daily influence for my life that day.  It was quite good with little risk.  What I failed to factor was that the daily, and in this case monthly New Moon energy shift that begins around 4:00 P.M. or after.  The car wreck occurred at 4:00 P.M., exactly when the monthly and daily shift occurred!   The daily influence was the trigger.  The daily influence for me on August 10 was a possible car wreck, clashing metal.
• Let’s look at the combination of influences – parked car location activation, water fountain activation, daily and monthly life influences probability, no cures to minimize risk used. – That is a recipe for a car wreck!

My experience is yet another example of how specific, precise, and personal a Classical Feng Shui analysis can be.  Just like finding a good, sharp, CPA, financial advisor, or coach, part of your team that supports you and has your back should be your Feng Shui advisor, who will be able to help you in areas of your life where no one else can.

Western Culture

Chinese culture has a significantly different view of what governs personal affairs and success than that of Western culture.  The accepted definition of success in Western society is “preparation meeting opportunity”.  Working harder, longer, education, studying, affirmations, meditations, prayer, religious practices, networking, actions, thoughts; these are the prerequisites of ‘preparation’.   In other words, your actions and choices are the only factors that prepare you for your success according to the Western psyche.

The Chinese culture has a broader consideration of what affects our lives and our opportunity for success.

The Three Factors That Govern Life

The first governing factor is Tien Chi, or Heaven Luck

Heaven Luck is a power beyond than that of man, a Supreme Being, the All Mighty, other deities, a religion, spirit, destiny.   This view has the belief that there is something beyond mortal, a powerful factor governing your life.  This is a spiritual belief in a higher power that affects your success, opportunity, achievement, and life experience.

The second governing factor is Ren Chi, or Man Luck

Man Luck fits the Western approach to success and achievement.  It is the component of preparation meeting opportunity – working, trying, effort, devoting time, belief, spiritual practice, choosing the right contacts and friends.  The Chinese culture also acknowledges the importance and value of hard work, and good choices, but does not limit success solely to effort.

The third governing factor is Tai Chi or Earth Luck

- Earth Luck is man’s connection to his environment, or Feng Shui.  These ancient Chinese sages were observers.  They observed towns, villages, and homes that thrived and were successful, and those that struggled and suffered, and saw patterns in the environments consistent with what people experienced.  They respected the land, considering it to be living – mountain ridges were considered dragon veins, and in Classical Feng Shui Audits (consultations), mountain ridges and city sky lines are still called dragon veins.    When the British came in and tried to build roads through China, workers had to be brought in from India because the Chinese workers refused to cut through the veins in the mountains, and refused to pierce the heart to dig holes for poles.

Yes, indeed, regardless of what you believe, or how hard you work.  Your degree of success and failure depends directly on your environment.  The effect of Tai Chi - your environment – is documented time after time with  Classical Feng Shui audits.  If you really want to make changes in your life, and no longer be vulnerable to these invisible factors, retake control of your life with a Classical Feng Shui Audit.

I have news for you.  Feng Shui affects your thinking.  Feng Shui is not always about the stuff around you and where you put cures. There are specific patterns that pass through your life on occasion, or stay, that will affect how you think.  The most frustrating is the one that creates cloudy, foggy, unfocused, unclear thinking.  This is writer’s block; you are stuck and can’t think of what to say or write, or do not like what comes out when you do.  It is literally like mind mud – dirt combing with water in your mind, two energies combining and affecting your thinking.   Last year, in 2009, all number 1 Gua people (see The Secrets of Personal Positioning EBook) suffered from this malady all year, and those that were aware of what was going on, through Classical Feng Shui, were counting the days until the year ended and they could focus and think clearly again.

When I see this influence, I suggest you be sure to seek council from someone you trust if you are about to make any major decisions.  This is not a good time to trust your instincts and decisions.

Client Challenges – Foggy Thinking

The reason I am writing this blog is because of several client emails and calls last week.  The first instance was when I was attempting to set a monthly update appointment with a client.  I had warned her that her thinking would be unfocused and cloudy the previous month.  At that time she was also very wrapped up at some drama (also predicted) at the office.  My only email goal was to make an appointment.  I emailed her 4 times asking for her availability for an appointment.  She responded to each email, never giving me a time.  Because I knew what was going on in her life, and in her mind, I laughed to myself and thought I would have to wait until she was thinking more clearly.  Three days later she called back to ask is we had set an appointment.  We laughed and laughed when I told her “no” because I knew she was not even reading the email, and not thinking clearly.

The same week I received a call from a very professional, always-in-control client, who is a doctor.  She was quite upset because she kept making mistakes, forgetting things, losing her keys, and confusing information – very unlike her normal efficiency (probably one reason she is such a good doctor).  I pulled her file and saw the problem.  Her office is located in, and filled with, a very nasty earth energy in 2010.  Her door opens to a water energy, which floods into the nasty earth energy in her office, creating muddy thinking mud, and affecting her thinking.

So, if you occasionally, or, for a period of time, notice that you have trouble focusing, lack clarity and feel muddled, you may well be suffering from the influence of mud in your mind.

Sharp as a Tack

On the other hand, the influence of sharp, clear thinking may pass through your life.  We all love this energy.  You will be more confident, clear, analytical, and will most likely make good choices.  You are right on and you know it.  Your thinking is sharp and fluid.

Stubborn and Arrogant

On occasion, you may be influenced by a combination of numbers in your life, which will cause you to be more stubborn, have a “know it all” attitude.  You may be unaware of your arrogance, but those around you will most certainly notice it.  You will have a touch of vanity.

The good news is that this mind influence cannot combine with the muddy mind influence, or we would all be in trouble.

The influences of Earth, fire and water collide on April 22, 2010, creating a disastrous Gulf Coast oil spill on April 22, 2010.  The basic elements of our planet and basic energies influencing personal and global events, again, in 2010, create havoc.  January was Haiti; February was Chile; March was the volcano in Iceland; and April is the Gulf Coast oil spill.   Not one month of 2010 to date has escaped a significant natural disaster.

A closer look at the sobering accuracy of the prevailing influences on this event.

• 2010 is the strongest Earth influence since 1944, midst World War II, which wrecked a different form of havoc on the planet
• April is the strongest month of the year because it is a strong Earth month, doubling the annual Earth strength
• April 22 was a Fire day.  Fire strengthened the already strong Earth.  That day the elements required converge – very, very strong Earth, strengthened further by the daily Fire energy, the energy for a fire explosion.  The oil rig explodes.
• April 23 was a water day – the Earth-Fire explosion created a problem in the water.  The nature of the relationship of Earth and Water is that Earth destroys Water, or pollutes it.  Put sand and dirt together, and what do you get – mud, pollution, polluted water. 
• April 24 had 3 Earth energies, the combination with the daily one was quite nasty.  This particular combination is a disaster combination, the same combination occurring in the northeast on the day of 9/11.  At a later date I will write a blog on how all forces combined for the 9/11 disaster. 

Considering the influences for the next few months, it may be a while before the oil is contained.  Watch the blog for updates on these influences.

Each of the events in the Iceland volcanic eruptions paralleled the annual, and monthly, and even daily ruling energies identified in Classical Feng Shui.  It appears the triggers for each event were the daily influences.

The volcanic eruptions began on March 25, a date of double earth and fire – required components of a volcano -  earth and fire.

On April 14, a day, month and year of pure earth, large clouds of volcanic ash – pure earth – began spewing.

The end of May was the strongest of the year for strong yin metal, a dangerous and volatile influence – it could have been a war, but it wasn’t; it was a volcano.  On May 29, the strongest eruption of all erupted spewing ash clouds over a large portion of Europe, bringing air travel to a virtual halt for weeks

The strong May 29 eruption, which erupted in an icy mountainous area of Iceland, spewing icy boulders the size of cars occurred on a water day; yes, the volcano erupted through frozen water.

So who was most affected by the volcano?  What industry?  The airline industry – planes – yin metal.

Each element played its roll in this European air nightmare as clouds of volcanic ash brought Europe to an abrupt halt for weeks.  To the date, each of the noted events are 100% consistent with the dominant energetic elements of the time – year, month, day.

These volcanic eruptions in Iceland are perfect examples of the power and preciseness of energetic cycles documented and illustrated in Classical Feng Shui.
